Underwater Sculptures Create A Breathtaking Museum For Snorkelers

Divers around the world swim through shipwrecks to observe the amazing artifacts that have been stuck underwater for decades. But, these spectacles can be in depths where average snorkelers are unable to reach their magnificence. Fortunately, divers in Europe can now experience an underwater museum that has been manmade off the coast of Spain’s Canary Islands.

It’s Europe’s first underwater museum titled the Museo Atlantico. The memorizing destination offers swimmers the opportunity to check out 400 pieces of art. Each sculpture is made out of special marine cement that is used to attract sea life.

There are many themes throughout the underwater museum that observe causes and events like the Syrian Refugee crisis. The only tricky part about this museum is you have to swim roughly 45ft down to the ocean floor.
